About Amy

I love writing. An understatement to rival “water is wet”.

Two English degrees gave me a rich vocabulary and a lifelong grudge against typos. Six years in the legal field added professionalism, punctuality and perseverance.

In June of 2021, I lost my job to Covid. After a few “you’re not quite the right fit” interviews, I realized I was never going to love my life if I kept settling for the status quo.

I became a freelance writer.

Take a look at my portfolio then send me a note so we can discuss your writing needs.

In addition, I’m a self-published author with two books available through Barnes & Noble. I invite you to check out my collection.

I’m a Minnesotan who loves organic gardening, baking/cooking and being a dog mom to two goofy golden retrievers named Woody and Sonnet. I live with my wonderful husband Nathan, a self-proclaimed “Super-Mega Video Game Nerd”. We struggle with infertility due to PCOS. I’m on a personal journey to eliminate the foods that have made me sick for the last decade in hopes that one day, we’ll have the family we’ve both wanted since we were toddlers ourselves.

(That’s Sonnet to my left. He can never resist the camera. =D)
